Butler Disposal and Recycling is very proud to support local charities within our community. We believe that giving back to the community is an integral part of operating a business within that community. We support many local charities and initiatives.
The mission of the Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity (JACC) is to improve the quality of life for seriously ill children and their families… “when love is not enough.” We act as a safety net by helping sick children get the medical care and treatment they need.
Our charity was founded out of love by Norm Clements in memory of his little granddaughter, to help the many seriously ill children in Ontario like Jennifer. Since our work began, JACC has helped thousands of seriously ill children and their families with basic necessities such as keeping a roof over a families head and food on their table in troubled times, respite care, hospital costs, medical treatments and therapies. The ABLE Network is a fee for service, registered charity located in Aurora, Ontario. We are a community based program that provides relevant inclusive work and recreation opportunities for young adults with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) in natural job and community settings. Our participants are supported in our five core programs of work experience, transit training, recreation, literacy and volunteer activities.
The ABLE Network is based on strong principles and research that states that inclusion of persons with an ID in natural settings provides them with an equal opportunity to make a contribution to the health and well-being of their community.
Our participants confidently contribute to the workplace and community, growing their independence and abilities through relevant experience in natural settings. Together, with our enthusiastic network of committed community partners, we create an environment of encouragement, healthy living, and life-long success. More about The Able Network
